Cremation
Cremation of animals under 12 lbs are performed here at my studio. Remains are cremated via ceremony, with plants + herbs associated with death and assistance in the afterlife. In-studio cremation is $140.
If you are having other services done for a 12 lb or smaller animal, and only partial remains (no bones) are wanting to be cremated, partial cremation ranges from $65-$95.
Cremation of animals above 12 lbs are attained through a third party crematory. The crematory’s pricing starts at $185, and is dependent on weight. Cremated remains are returned in a decorative wooden box with a name plate. They also offer clay/ink pawprint impressions. Should you desire any of these services, a $50 transport fee will be added to your final total.
✦ Aftercare Info ✦
My pet has passed…now what?
If your pet has passed, and you are decided on preservation services, or you are anticipating a scheduled euthanasia, please call/text Hayley (425)-922-6843 to check availability and/or to arrange a drop off or house/vet pick up.
If transporting your pet within 24 hours of their passing, no kind of cold treatment is necessary. Pets are OK to be at room temperature for about 24 hours after passing. You are, however, welcome to wrap/place them in whatever blankets or vessel that you see fit. Please note that whatever container/laundry you leave with your pet, it will not be returned to you.
Should you end up wanting to wait and think about how you want to preserve your pet, or if transport within 24 hours is not accessible at the time, the best thing to do is as follows:
Wrap your pet snugly in a clean towel/blanket/piece of clothing.
Place the wrapped body in a plastic/trash bag, and tightly seal it, making sure to expel any air bubbles.
Put into a freezer if you are able to find one big enough. This is not unsanitary and will not spoil/affect any goods in the freezer. If you are unable to access a freezer large enough, find a cooler (either plastic or disposable styrofoam) and enough ice to cover your pet. Change the ice out accordingly, until you are able to transfer your pet to processing. Do NOT get your pet wet.
Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions regarding this process.
